It's Her

It's Her
By George Frederick Nash

I thought I would never meet someone
Who would take my breath away,
Claiming my spirit
And blessing me in every possible way.

A strong soul
So beautiful and pure,
A bright light that brings this world
So much joyous cheer.

I hope to find her
And become part of her best,
Realizing that she is
Bone of my bone
And flesh of my flesh.

Just like Jacob,
I am committed to complete the garden,
Showing how much I value
The most precious thing to her father.

A lovely Queen
Regal as the monarchs of the Nile,
A wonderful spirit that
Loves the people
Like a mother loves her child.

My soul is happy
And it is doing a celebration dance,
Because I have seen her
And recognize that I must not miss this chance.

First I worship
And bless God for being true,
Then I pray
And ask Him to see me through.

Asking for guidance
To connect with such a gentle flower,
Keeping my heart open
To stay near her.

Knowing that I cannot be scared
To show her who I am,
I leap.
Looking for a place to land
In her heart
In her soul
Hoping she would open the door
And let me in her fold.

Alien Color Man

Alien Color Man
By George Frederick

The ship has landed to deliver its cargo.
Packages with great economic value
That generate new power and money in an infant land.
This strange cargo, with no voice
Is picked over like a farmer picks his land.
Examining their dark rich color.
Feeling their powerful firm muscles.
All the while not knowing that this alien package
Is taking in all that it can view.
Plotting the escape from a land
It never wanted to see.

The Soul Symphony Joint

The Soul Symphony Joint
By: George Frederick Nash

The orchestration of souls
Working together to play
Velvet smooth tones
That are placed in their hearts
By the fresh hand of God.

A simple groove
With a unique key signature
Riding the suede beat
Of the rhythm prince.

The luxurious rhyme
Of the soulful psalmist
Connects the heart
To a beautiful experience.

A fabulous sound
That breathes life
Into a normal existence.

This symphony
Of vivid tones and smooth textures
Heats the soul
To burn down the joint.

Beautiful Chocolate

The sweet aroma of blended ingredients
Dancing together to smell so fresh
It's essence touches the soul
Sparks the thought that this is so blessed

The velvet smooth pallet of distinctive textures
Joyfully tickles the voice of your heart
A luxurious silky taste of elegant flavor
Entices the spirit to take part

The dark milky sensation of lavish treats
Fills the room with a cheerful mood
The brightness of its gorgeous attitude
Turns on the passion of your own groove

The grand composition of noble treasures
Dazzles the eye with its spectacular shell
Providing a moment that caters to your gentle emotion
Causing you to pick a beautiful chocolate belle

Macaroni And Cheese

Macaroni And Cheese
By: George Frederick Nash

I stand at the edge of the field
Taking in the smell of the summer breeze.
In the distance my mother yells from the porch
"It's lunch time. I made your favorite... macaroni and cheese."

I take off and run fast as I can.
Running so hard
As much as my little feet can stand.

I make it to the porch
And jump to the top step.
Embracing the sweet aroma
Of love that is so heart felt.

I run to the table to
Take my seat.
My mother says,
"Stop running or you won't get your favorite treat."

I stop running and walk fast.
I make it to the table and ask for a big glass.

She says,
"What would you like to drink my impatient little son?"
I reply,
"Red kool-aid! That sounds like fun."

With a smile, I begin to feed my face.
Stuffing my little belly, as much as it can take.

As my mom walks toward the table,
I think to myself
I am so pleased.
Not because she is wonderful and beautiful.
But because she made me macaroni and cheese.
